Several forging techniques of rectangular spring

With the increase of industrial products, rectangular spring products become more and more abundant, the use of rectangular spring is increasing gradually, and the technology related to rectangular spring is gradually mature. How to increase the performance of rectangular spring is a problem that rectangular spring manufacturers need to face. 1、 Deformation heat treatment: deformation heat treatment combines deformation strengthening and heat treatment strengthening of steel to further improve the strength and toughness of steel. The heat treatment of deformation is divided into high temperature, medium temperature and low temperature. High temperature deformation heat treatment is quenching immediately after deformation in stable austenite state, and can also be combined with forging or hot rolling, that is, quenching immediately after hot forming. The automobile leaf spring made of 60Si2Mn steel is tempered at high temperature and fast after high temperature deformation heat treatment (930 ℃ + 18% of thermal property variable, oil quenching). The strength and fatigue life of the spring are greatly improved.

2、 Isothermal quenching of rectangular spring: for rectangular spring with small diameter or enough hardenability, isothermal quenching can be adopted. It can not only reduce the center change, but also improve the strength and toughness. After isothermal quenching, it is better to tempering again, which can improve the elastic limit, and the tempering temperature is the same as that of isothermal quenching.

3、 Shot Peening: shot peening is one of the most widely used methods to improve the surface quality of rectangular spring. Rectangular spring requires high surface quality. Surface defects such as scratch, folding, oxidation and decarbonization will often become the stress concentration and fatigue fracture source of rectangular spring. If small steel shot is used to blast rectangular spring surface at high speed, shot peening is carried out, not only improve the surface quality of rectangular spring, improve the surface strength, make the surface in the state of compressive stress, thus improving the fatigue strength and service life of rectangular spring.

4、 Low temperature carbon nitrogen Co-penetration: for coil spring, tempering and low temperature carbon nitrogen co-seepage (soft nitriding) technology can significantly improve the fatigue life and corrosion resistance of rectangular spring.

5、 Relaxation treatment of rectangular spring: rectangular spring works under external force for a long time, and it will produce slight permanent (plastic) deformation due to stress relaxation. Especially for rectangular spring working at high temperature, stress relaxation is more serious under high temperature, which makes the accuracy of rectangular spring lower, which is not allowed for general precision rectangular spring. Therefore, the rectangular spring should be relaxed after quenching and tempering. Heat treatment process: load the rectangular spring in advance, so that the deformation amount exceeds the deformation that may occur when the rectangular spring works. Then, heat it at 20 ℃ above the working temperature, and keep it for 8-24 hours
